A modern society is totally dependent on electricity, so security of supply is paramount. It may become a problem in the future, if the focus is on unstable wind and solar instead of stable nuclear power. Wind power is a major consumer of concrete, steel, rare earths, etc. as copper to the large cables that distribute power to consumers. It is also dependent on backup from biomass coming from trees. The earth's resources can be depleted, and once the amount of elements is depleted, we must find alternative substances and methods. Wind power with energy islands requires more labor than nuclear power, which can be a problem in a time of labor shortages.
