Less Food for More People

Updated: Sep 10, 2020

The Earth cannot provide food and natural resources for the increasing population. Currently we are using 1.7 of the Earth's resources, and if the population growth continues, we'll need 3 Earths by 2050.

Global warming and the resultant droughts and floods make food production more difficult Yields of many types of grain will be reduced, resulting in food shortages. Coupled with a rise in population this can turn into a humanitarian catastrophe.

With less food to feed more people, conflicts will arise over the distribution of land, water and food. With fewer people it would be possible to create a more sustainable development.

With fewer people on Earth we would need less food, which could be produced with fewer toxic fertilizers - beneficial both to the soil and for the general health of humans.
