Our civilization is in danger due to human greed and irresponsible behaviour. Overpopulation and the pollution of air, water and soil are destroying the basis of our existence.
Our cultural heritage is perishing. Relics and monuments from earlier civilizations, which have survived for thousands of years, are being devastated by pollution, conflicts, wars and global warming. To protect our civilization the UN should use more diplomacy in order to solve conflicts before they develop into wars.
We have achieved a high level of technological knowledge, but posterity may wonder why, at the same time, we failed to create a more peaceful and sustainable world.
Global warming created by overpopulation and human exploitation of nature is a threat to our civilization. Shall we continue the course towards the abyss, or shall we stop the population growth and pollution in order to preserve our green planet?
